  • An Acupuncturist will insert very fine needles into a persons body with the aim of balancing their energy.
It can help boost wellbeing and may cure some illnesses.
Conditions it is used for include specific pain such as migraines or back and musculo-skeletal pain as well as being beneficial in treating anxiety, insomnia and menopause.

  • Shiatsu massage therapy uses the fingers, thumbs and palm to apply pressure to various areas of the body’s surface to help heal common conditions and correct any imbalances occurring in the body.
Pressure applied to points on the body promotes energy flow as well as being a deeply relaxing experience.
Shiatsu helps to treat pain, relieve stress, and contributes to overall good health and wellbeing.

  • Karen offers both treatments individually or in some cases will create an integrated treatment plan combining the two.

  • I have received these lovely testimonials from recent clients.

Karen was recommended to me by a group of swimming friends, after i had suffered a while from a painful shoulder.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect, especially with acupuncture, but the whole experience under Karen's hands was calm, relaxing and healing. After just one session of massage and needles, I could lift my arm, something that had been painful to do for months. A further two sessions and my arm movement is much improved.
Thank you so much Karen. Highly recommended.

I went to Karen with a very painful case of tennis elbow which radiated both up to my shoulder and down to my hand. I had already tried an elbow support, elbow exercises and the usual painkillers - all with no effect. I had never had acupuncture before so felt a little apprehensive. Karen soon put me at my ease! I certainly didn’t expect to feel so much better after the first session of shiatsu and acupuncture and, following a further two sessions, I am now back to normal. I would thoroughly recommend Karen for any sprains, persistent aches and pains.

I’m allergic to the ingredients in some medicines. When I’m ill I usually wait until the pain is unbearable and then I take medicine. In this way I avoid my body becoming immune to the treatment, which would happen if I took too much medicine. When I have a simple cold it takes ages for me to recover and get well.

When I had the first symptoms of a cold, with a very sore throat, dry cough and dripping nose, I had an acupuncture treatment with Karen and next day I couldn't believe it… my throat had returned to a normal pink colour, the dripping nose had stopped and the cough virtually disappeared. For an allergic person this is kind of a miracle!!!

Thank you Karen for getting me well...you helped to stop my cold from developing and getting worse. I'm very impressed with what a few needles can do for you. It surprised even me how quickly I recovered.

    You are Super!!

A former client wrote to me from Seattle.

With the car accident I've often found it soothing to remember your healing capabilities (though sometimes I feel frustrated that I can't just pop in for shiatsu and solve all this!) and also your intuitive powers - they were really very inspiring for me, and it's nice to think that there are people out there who could be such a good force for healing.

Peter, age 73 who turned to acupuncture to treat fatigue when conventional medication was not working.

Lying on the couch, socks off, trousers rolled up, shirt undone; Karen, expertly and painlessly, places the needles. The time passes quickly and peacefully listening to music, I keep my eyes closed and soon the needles are removed, none left in. I feel better straight away and even more so later in the day. Thank you Karen.

Becky, age 23 suffering from frequent migraines.

Karen was the welcoming and reassuring presence I needed after failing to find the right help for my frequent migraines through my doctor.
